Coaches & Managers:

Checking with you all as we head into the last week of conference play to ensure you are prepared should you qualify for the AA State playoffs in Medicine Hat July 24 to 28.

Hotels rooms blocked for teams to book into will now drop off if they are not booked by teams.

Please ensure your  accommodations are looked after and provide me with information on where your team has booked so we may follow up on this end.

As you are aware passports are needed for travel across the border.

The banquet will be a full course roast beef dinner at the Medicine Hat College Cafeteria on Friday July 23rd at 6:30 pm.

The Medicine Hat College location is 299 College Drive SE, Medicine Hat, AB T1A 3Y6.

For planning purposes we ask that you provide us with the number of players & coaches for your team - include the bus driver if you have one.

The cost to parents or fans that may wish to attend is $25.00. We must know the number of fans attending by July 19th, so please inform by return email.

We have made arrangements for 2 telephone lines at the park for radio broadcasts - the numbers are 403-526-8145 & 403-526-8195. Teams will be assigned a line prior to each game.

The cost of the call is to be covered by the station broadcasting by placing a collect call from the park or by dialling into the number from your home station.

We will have a brief opening ceremony including all teams in full uniform at Athletic Park at 7:00 pm prior to the host team's first game Saturday July 24th.

Fans at home will be able to follow the games through an arrangement with Pointstreak. The information of how to access this system and follow all games is posted at follow game.

Athletic Park (#1 Birch Avenue S.E.) does not have an area outside the field to warm up or practice while the preceding game is being played.

There are 2 batting tunnels at Athletic Park however whether they can be used during tournament or limited to between games etc. will need to be discussed by the General Chairman at the coaches meeting.

A back up field is available as an alternative for pregame hitting and warm up. Jefferies Park at the Kinsmen Baseball Complex, 350 - 8th Street N.E. will be available for pre game or an alternative field should weather or other require the use of an alternative field.

In either case the home team will be scheduled first followed by the visiting team.

The pre tournament coaches meeting chaired by General Chairman George Hagele will be held at the Medicine Hat College following the banquet - all teams are to have representation.

Pictures and souvenirs shirts/hoodies will be available at Athletic Park. Souvenirs may be limited in numbers on some items so pre-order or buy early. Photos of souvenirs will be posted on the website next week.

Please contact us should you have any questions.

Look forward to being your host.
