Welcome to MEDICINE HAT American Legion Baseball
MONARCHS, KNIGHTS & MAJESTICS
AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL MEETING
The Monarchs, Knights & Majestics will be holding the Medicine Hat Big League Baseball Annual General Meeting and player registration night in the Kinplex Arena Social Room (Stampede Grounds) on ******** Monday, November 17, 2014 at 7:00 pm ********
Players must be dedicated to the baseball program during the mid May to early August period. Off season has flexibility for other sports & interests. However expectations are to participate as much as possible in the indoor training sessions and strength/training programs offered in the community.
Players eligible to play for the 2015 Moose Monarchs, Knights & Majestics American Legion Baseball teams are players from our zone born in 96, 97, 98, 99 and before May 1st 2000. The Medicine Hat zone includes the surrounding communities from Foremost, Bow Island, Oyen, Fox Valley and Maple Creek.
The Monarchs/Knights/Majestics program does not include the 15 year old by calendar year birth date player that is still young enough (born after April 30, 2000) and eligible to play on the top tier Junior Little League All Star team. However some Junior Little League players may be asked to be affiliated to American Legion for call up if does not interfere with the MHLL program. This is to keep the Little League program strong at the All-star level. Any exceptions or changes in this policy would be discussed with MHLL. Players within the MH American Legion zone but not in the MH Little League district 4 zone will be discussed on a case by case basis regarding player age.
It is very important that parents of players interested in trying out attend so that everyone receives the same information about the program. Player fees for 2015 will be $1400.00 this will include a $200.00 deposit, payable to MH Big League Baseball, that is required at the time of player registration. As well a financial statement, season start dates, fundraising, and the workforce required to operate the program will be discussed. Winter indoor training dates will begin Thursday, January 8th.
Players are welcome to attend however it is not mandatory. Parents can register players and sign the necessary documents. The players can then sign same at the first function they attend i.e. camp/tryout, off season training session etc.
